We expect to release by the end of the summer the entire chain as available for FSX in X-Plane 11. As we inch closer to completion, we’ve finished the bulk of the work. All that’s left is some cloud removal and refining, the mesh is still providing some challenges, detailing – fixing up the little scuffs around the edges, but we are on track for some incredible flying come September!

Here some in-sim screenshots from Hawaii Big Island, Maui and Oahu:

We’re looking forward to releasing with ZL19 (~6″ resolution) orthophotos at PHNL Daniel K. Inouye International Airport as well as the multiple military bases on Oahu. This increased resolution will be available by default and will, like the rest of the islands, be integrated with the mesh of the terrain rather than draped over it. Also in the works are custom overlays generated from OpenStreetMap data as well as custom pavement textures at select airports.

What do you want to see in Hawaii when it’s released?
